Overview
EPC stands for Engineering, Procurement and Construction. Instead of coordinating a consultant, an equipment supplier, an electrical contractor and a civil contractor separately, you sign with one party that owns the whole outcome.
That matters on EV charging projects specifically, because the common failure mode is not the hardware — it is the gap between parties. A charger arrives before the sanctioned load is upgraded; the civil work is done before the cable route is finalised; the station is physically complete but cannot be energised because a statutory approval was never filed. An EPC scope removes those handoffs.

Everything below sits inside a single contract, with one party accountable for the outcome.
Feasibility & site survey
Available and sanctioned electrical load, transformer capacity, cable routing distance, civil layout, parking geometry, vehicle access and expected utilisation. This determines what can actually be installed, not what would be nice to install.
Electrical design
Single-line diagram, load calculation, protection and earthing design, cable sizing, and selection of AC or DC chargers matched to the vehicles the site will actually serve.
Approvals & liaison
DISCOM application for load enhancement or a new connection, electrical inspectorate coordination, and the documentation each step requires.
Procurement
Chargers and balance-of-system sourced through our OEM relationships, with warranty and service terms recorded in writing rather than assumed.
Civil & electrical execution
Foundation and mounting, cable laying, panel and protection installation, canopy or bollards where required, signage and lighting.
Testing & commissioning
Insulation and earthing tests, load testing, charger-to-network integration, payment and app configuration, safety checks, and a documented handover.
Handover & training
As-built drawings, warranty documents, test reports, and operator training so site staff can handle day-one issues without waiting for a call-out.

What is the difference between EPC and just buying a charger?
Buying a charger gets you hardware. EPC gets you a working, energised, compliant station — including the load sanction, the electrical infrastructure behind the charger, the civil work, the statutory approvals, and the commissioning tests. On most sites the charger is a minority of the total cost and effort.
Do we need to upgrade our electricity connection?
Often yes. A charging station adds significant load, and most existing connections are sanctioned for the building's current use. Whether an upgrade is needed depends on your existing sanctioned load, transformer capacity and how many charge points you want to run simultaneously — which is exactly what the site survey establishes before any commitment is made.
Should we install AC or DC chargers?
It depends on dwell time. Where vehicles park for hours — homes, offices, residential parking — AC chargers are usually the right economics. Where vehicles need to leave quickly — highways, taxi and fleet turnarounds, retail forecourts — DC fast charging is what makes the site viable. Many sites end up with a mix.
Who handles the DISCOM paperwork?
We do, as part of the EPC scope. You will still need to sign as the consumer of record and provide ownership or occupancy documents, but the application, follow-up and technical submissions are ours.
